taken during summer, but i love the contrast of Snow in it. =)

this was taken when in Grand Teton National park in 2008. there's some color correction done to this due to an improper exposure was used, however i feel it turned out great in the end.

in this part of the land the vast flats of the American west abruptly but up to the rock mountain range. there are little to no foot hills leading up the the Rocky's in this part so you get these fabulous views of the mountains looming above everything. Ive got a few more but this one shows it wonderfully and was one of the best taken form that part of the trip.

i live a 5 days drive away form Yellowstone National Park which is just 5 miles north of where this was taken. (my but hurt for months after that trip)

now the tons thing may be true, there's a lot of stuff scattered across the USA. (my own state is dutiful, i just don't get to explore it much)
