Thursday i'm heading off to the Detroit science center. the Star Trek exhibit is currently stationed there and there showing the new Star Trek movie in IMAX! cant wate to see that movie again, and explore all the stuff they have there!

today! (well this is acutely news from yesterday, but i'm still up) i have SIMS 3! man there gos all my time for a week... this is a relay great sims, there's only one major load and a small minor one when entering character creation mode. you can walk the streets with your sims, and look at other buildings from any lot that you chos to enter at.
one of the things Ive enjoyed the most with it is the extensive amount of customization you can do to your sims. ive only created 2 sims (Blisty and Blase) but from the looks of it i spent well over 2 hours just doing them and i haven't even started to scrape the bottom of the well of what you can do!
fpr those of you who care about numbers, here's my rig con fig [link] (look at the bottom) im getting 150 Frames a second with 8x AA and 6X ASF! running at a 1200 x 1600 resolution! that's amassing numbers for a new game and one that looks this good. my sister installed this on her lap top and its got a crappy athalon 64 x2 processor and integrated graphics chip. shes got it running great on her system! something that the sims 2 couldn't do on her computer (for no known reason)

on other news...
my dog Sam has a nasty case of the allergies... back to the cone... [link] i must say, the meds we have her on now have relay helped. this morning she was all red around the eyes...
